Since starting Audrey Ross/Publicity in 1982, I’ve had the pleasure of handling many dance, music and theater companies appearing in a variety of spaces throughout New York City, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, City Center, The Joyce Theater, The Kaye Playhouse, DTW, St. Mark’s Church, the Kitchen and many more.
From 1980-82, I was Director of Publicity for Pentacle, and for the 1979-80 funding cycle, was Program Associate in the Dance Program Associate in the Dance Program of the New York State Council of the Arts, where I was an auditor for 12 years.
In another life, I was a dancer in ballet and contemporary companies and musicals, including the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, Ruth Page’s Chicago Opera Ballet, National Company of Camelot, Lincoln Center and other productions of Oklahoma! with the original De Mille choreography and Theater Dance Collection, directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Lynn Simonson, Jaclynn Villamil, and others.
